Meet Rizwan Nurani

A graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle, Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani holds a medical doctorate degree as well as a Bachelors of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology. 

Dr. Rizwan Nurani holds board certification in Radiation Oncology through the American Board of Radiology and licensure to practice medicine in the States of Washington, California and Florida. Active in his professional community, he belongs to the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the CyberKnife Society, and the American Brachytherapy Society. Through these organizations, Dr. Nurani maintains his place on the leading edge of new technologies and therapies, offering his patients the highest possible level of care.

Throughout his career, Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani has published a wide range of chapters, studies, and abstracts. His work has appeared in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology and The Journal of Urology. He has published and presented studies on the use of MRI in treatment planning for cancer patients. He has presented at industry events and meetings including on the use of targeted radiation therapy for prostate cancer and new techniques for the treatment of liver cancer and metastases.

Dr. Rizwan D. Nurani notes that his primary interest is, “to help patients navigate through their cancer diagnosis and to find ways to individualize their treatment.” His clinical skills include stereotactic radiosurgery, cyberknife radiosurgery, brachytherapy, image guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
